Presentation of PES

The Sozialdemokratische Partei Europas / Party of European Socialists / Parti Socialiste Européen is the union of the Social Democrat, Socialist and Labour parties in the European Union (with associated member parties from the future European Union members).

Flag of PES

The flag of PES is white and shows a red Socialist rose with a green stalk in a circle of 12 black stars. The flag was seen during the 1st May 2002 demonstration in Munich (Germany).

ECOSY - Young European Socialists

ECOSY - Young European Socialists, founded in November 1992 in The Hague (Netherlands), is the youth organization of PES and of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament.

The flag of ECOSY - Young European Socialists is red with the party's emblem (slightly modified), made of three jigsaw puzzle pieces surrounded by stars, all in white (while the stars are yellow on the party emblem), surmounted by "ECOSY", in white letters, two. The emblem is limited on top and bottom by a thin white horizontal line. "European Young Socialists" is written in white letters on the bottom of the flag.
The flag can be seen on photos taken during the Gay Pride in Paris, 6 June 2007, and during a meeting in Greece, 17 February 2009.
